To Take A Walk

This is a different type of blog post,
But I would like to emphasise how amazing it is to take a walk.
There something so fulfilling, connecting and calming once you step your feet outside. I have been inspired greatly  for my story, by popping in my earphones and taking my dog for a walk around the area.
I had the pleasure of going throughout the woods near my house the other day.  As the sun beamed in through the gaps in the leaves, I felt so calm and content.  I saw a little wild bunny run across and disappear into the bushes in front of me, it was adorable. And I found myself just staring at the beauty of nature, and sitting down and feeling the earth beneath my hands. This is my happy place, in which I’m able to think about the things I needed to think about, and let go of my stress and my worries. I was disconnected from social media and contacts, I was in a small break from reality. It was amazing.
“In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks.” —John Muir

Look at the places,  love the scenery,  feel the earth you are walking on. I’m going to say,  try and aim to have a  rewarding walk at least twice a week.  You will feel different, inspired, and  happier. Nature is so beautiful and we have the gift of having the beauty on our doorstep. I think its important to connect with that.  Not everyone will love the outdoors as much as I do, and I’m not saying sit and roll around in the dirt. But embrace the earth we have while we have it, we don’t know how long its going to be around for.

Speak soon guys

  1. I thoroughly agree with this post, I am not terribly keen on exercise but when I walk my dog I find myself loving it. It so refreshing and clears your mind. Loved the earth not being forever comment because while I think you might have meant that humanity might not have all the open spaces but I took it as the difference between the city and the country. Loved this post Amelia x
